Healthy Quintuple Chocolate Cake - Desserts with Benefits

Healthy Quintuple Chocolate Cake

Wait, what?  It’s been two years since my first post ever?  I feel like my first blogiversary was just a few months ago…  I’m floored.  Happy 2nd birthday bloggy woggy!  Let’s celebrate with this Healthy Quintuple Chocolate Cake!

Nothing like a decadent QUINTUPLE chocolate cake to celebrate today’s awesomeness (no, not because it’s 420, that was just a fluke I swear).

Here I am, 229 posts later, eating one of the best chocolate cakes of my life.

Why?  It’s incredibly decadent with five sources of chocolate.  Don’t you dare forget to include those itty bitty chocolate hearts  🙂

This cake is super moist, super decadent, and it goes without saying, it’s chocolatey.  You would never know this cake is good for you, it’s high in fiber and protein so it will fill you up after one slice (while the typical unhealthy chocolate cake will take us about four slices to feel full!).  Yes, I’m serious!

OMG I am drooooling over this cake. I cannot believe how few calories it has! AMAZING

  6. I can’t wait to try this! But what about substituting the eggs for ground flax seed? Do you think that would work?

    • dessertswithbenefits

I love flax eggs but I don’t think it would work in this recipe because there are too many eggs and egg whites to replace. In my experience, too many flax eggs make the baked good gummy and sometimes even mushy 🙁 Maybe you can try Ener-g Egg Replacer, although I’m not sure if it will impose a flavor in the cake.

  7. Happy Bloggerversary! Thanks for all of the great recipes 🙂 Keep it up!

  19. Hi Jessica!

First off all, i love your website and recipes – they are so unique and always look divine. Secondly, I really want to try my hand at one of your chocolate cake recipes – but there are so many! I decided I want to try one with coconut flour (I LOVE it, when used right), but there are 3 on the blog! This one, the chocolate pear, and your 20th bday cake.. which of the 3 was your favorite?! Thanks!!

  20. Does this have a coconut flavor?

    • dessertswithbenefits

Although coconut flour smells very distinctly of coconut, the cake itself does not. I guess the flavor “bakes out” because no one tasted it 🙂

  21. Katerina Seigel

I just made this and its INCREDIBLE! My entire family had no idea it was healthy. You are literally a genius and a total inspiration. I want to make every one of your recipes and i’ll be sure to tell everyone how perfect your blog is! You’re super talented girl, thanks for sharing! <3 🙂5 stars
