Healthy Oreo Truffles
These Healthy Oreo Truffles are seriously magical. Like, they seem too good to be true. HOW ARE THESE REAL?? They taste like they’re made with real Oreos, but they’re actually made with something way, way better — Healthy Homemade Oreos!
These Oreo Truffles are chocolatey and sweet, rich and fudgy, decadent and delicious.
No need for the high-fructose corn syrup, bleached flour, artificial flavors, and preservatives (typical ingredients in storebought Oreos).
You WILL NOT be able to stop at one these are so damn addictive. I had to portion the batch into individual baggies of 4 because I knew that if I didn’t, I would plow through the entire batch in a single day. I gave my boyfriend a little sandwich bag of 6 truffles and he said they were gone by the time he got home.
And he lives like, 5 minutes away. Yep.
These Healthy Oreo Truffles came and went in 3-2-1-GONE.
But no worries, they’re totally guilt-free with only 70 calories per truffle! These are surprisingly filling too, thanks to the protein, fiber, whole grains, and healthy fats.
Healthy Oreo Truffles
Ingredients
- one batch Homemade Oreos (omit filling, only make the wafers**)
- 16 oz Low Fat Cottage Cheese
- 2 tbs Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp Liquid Stevia Extract
Instructions
- In a blender (I used my NutriBullet), grind the oreo wafers into a flour. Pour into a large bowl.
- In the same blender, add the cottage cheese, almond milk, vanilla extract, and stevia extract. Puree until completely smooth. Pour on top of the ground oreo wafers and fold together. It should form a thick dough. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- The next day, use a cookie scoop to portion the dough and roll into balls. Feel free to dip the balls in chocolate or serve as is! Keeps for ~5 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
Only 70 calories per truffle! Plus, each bite has a hit of protein, a bit of fiber, and no added sugar. YUSSSS!
If you’re feeling extra spunky and fun, dip the truffles into melted dark chocolate. I did this with about half the batch. And I’m pretty sure that THAT is what true love really is…
Enjoy!

Oh GOD how did I not finish the instructions?? Haha, just updated the post 😉
And you’re right! You just roll it into balls and serve! 🙂
What a clever recipe! Amazing how thick they become after you blend everything!
I love cottage cheese in all things sweet and savory. Its got to be one of my favorite ingredients. These look and sound great.

Ooo YUM!! Love this!
This is a great recipe. My husband loved it.
When the recipe says “1 batch of homemade Oreo cookies”, is that 30 cookies? Which is how many your Oreo recipe makes. Please can you clarify.
Yes, I mean an entire batch as in 30 homemade Oreos. I just stated one batch because I’ve made these before without making the actual Oreos and just making the Oreo wafers and icing separately, and dumping it all in a blender 🙂 it’s just a lot faster that way!
