Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Uncrustables

Servings: 5 uncrustables
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Uncrustables have been made BETTER (and healthier while we're at it)! These Healthy Homemade Peanut Butter Banana Uncrustables are all natural and whole grain with no sugar added. Far better than the original!

Ingredients

  • 10 slices 100% Whole Grain Bread (gluten free, vegan, etc.)
  • 5 tbs Natural Peanut Butter
  • 2 small Bananas

Instructions

  • Spread the peanut butter in a circular fashion in the center of five slices of bread.
  • Slice the banana into "coins" and arrange them on top of the peanut butter circles.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top of the coated slices.
  • Put the pastry press (try this one or this one!) over the center mound and firmly press down to seal.  Enjoy immediately, or place in sandwich baggies and freeze for later!

Look at that ooey, gooey, super-stuffed goodness!  As you can see, I’m pretty sure I filled this Uncrustable with about ¼ cup of peanut butter…

    Can you freeze these for a week or two? I’m worried that the bananas would turn color. Have you tried to do this? Definitely sounds delicious if it works right!
