Healthy Banana Cream Pie Milkshake
Healthy Banana Cream Pie Milkshake — ultra thick, rich, creamy, sweet, and jam-packed with banana cream pie flavor. SHHH, you’d never know it’s refined sugar free, fat free, high fiber, high protein and gluten free!
This is like, the healthiest milkshake in the world. It’s rich and sweet without the ice cream, sweetened condensed milk, granulated white sugar and artificially flavored syrups. Plus, it’s super easy to make with only 6 ingredients!
Okay, it’s time for me to fess up…
Banana Cream Pie has been on my Recipe Wishlist for about a year and a half (maybe more?) now. Every time I make it, it’s a total failure. Half the time it’s because I overcook the pastry cream (and if you’ve done that before, then will you sit and sulk with me?) and the other half it’s because the filling doesn’t solidify properly.
So I cheated and made a milkshake version instead.
(I would really like to meet the person who made up the saying said “it’s as easy as pie” … because clearly pie don’t come to me friggin easy! *rolls eyes*
Healthy Banana Cream Pie Milkshake
Ingredients
- 1 cup Plain, Nonfat Greek Yogurt
- ¼ cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- ¼ tsp Vanilla Creme-Flavored Stevia Extract
- 1 medium Banana (very ripe)
- 2 tsp Homemade Metamucil
- ⅛ tsp Ground Turmeric (optional, just for color)
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender. Puree until smooth.
- Refrigerate to chill, or add a few ice cubes to the blender if you want to drink it immediately. Serve with extra sliced bananas, natural whipped cream (avoid brands that use hydrogenated oil, I use Soyatoo Rice Whip), crumbled walnuts, and/or a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs!
There is no fat added in the recipe (the fat in the recipe comes from the almond milk) and there is no sugar added either (all the sugar is from the banana and the yogurt)! If you would prefer a milkshake with fat in it, simply add a tablespoon or two of natural peanut butter, roasted almond butter or maybe even some cashew butter!
This Healthy Banana Cream Pie Milkshake is pretty much perfect for breakfast and dessert.
And brunch and lunch. And maybe even dinner too. You know, in case you’re “pressed for time” or something? I don’t know, it’s just me here making up excuses to make this again and again.
Join me will ya? 😉

This looks amazing! Do you think I could substitute some of the Greek yogurt with cottage cheese? I’ve been making some of your cheesecake dips and they are amazing! Thanks so much! 😊
Absolutely! That sounds like a delicious substitute… I think I’m gonna give that a try soon 🙂
AND YAY!!! So glad you like the dips!!! <3
