Sure, we’ve all had plain Jane bark at some point in our lives…  but have any of us had COFFEE Chocolate Bark?  Let alone, HEALTHY Coffee Chocolate Bark??  I doubt it.

But now we all can because this recipe is super easy to make and doesn’t require any special baking equipment or fancy cooking utensils.  All you need is a big bowl!

Way better than regular bark, amirite?  😉

Want to take this bark to the next level?  Try:

  • Adding in a peanut butter swirl
  • Sprinkling the warm chocolate with chopped chocolate-covered espresso beans, crunchy pretzels, or crushed candy canes
  • Mixing in some crumbled nuts, graham crackers, etc.

Whatever tickles yo’ fancy!  It’s your kitchen, your bark.

I added some ground coffee because…  well…  I’m obsessed with coffee  😉

And of course, this goes without saying — if you don’t want caffeine for whatever reason, simply use decaf coffee grounds.  It’ll still be just as delicious as the original!

Healthy Coffee Chocolate Bark Candy

Servings: 16 oz
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
This 5-minute, 4-ingredient Coffee Chocolate Bark Candy Bars is bold, rich, and full of coffee and chocolate flavors. No one will know it's sugar free, low carb, gluten free, and keto-friendly too!

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and reserve a spot in the fridge for the tray.
  • In a large, microwave-safe bowl, add the cacao butter and dark chocolate. Microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one, until the chocolate is completely melted. It's okay if the cacao butter doesn't melt fully yet -- it takes longer to melt than ingredients like coconut oil or butter.
  • Add the milk chocolate to the bowl. Microwave at 20-second intervals, stirring between each one, until the chocolate is completely melted. Let sit until the cacao butter melts fully.
  • Stir in the ground coffee. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper and spread out with a spoon.
  • Place the baking sheet in the fridge until the chocolate is cold and completely hardened. Break the chocolate into pieces. Serve and enjoy!

The recipe makes 1 lb. The ingredients add up to $ 20.29 for the pound !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who can afford that ??

  2. How to do this when I will not use a microwave and you shouldn’t either.1 star

  3. Healthy????? There are seven (7) grams of saturated fat per serving. You should not have more than six (6) grams per DAY of saturated fat. This snack is a heart attack waiting to happen. I was so excited for this recipe until I read the nutritional information. I can’t think of a healthy alternative to butter that would make this taste good. Butter alternatives of buttery powder and water works with veggies but in chocolate? I’m so disappointed ☹️

    • Saturated fat is NOT unhealthy, especially when it’s coming from a PLANT source such as the cocoa bean. If this recipe was made of straight hormone-filled butter and bacon, I’d agree with you, but cocoa is a healthy ingredient and the saturated fat in it is naturally occurring.
Also, there is no one-size-fits-all for saturated fat intake… just like how there’s no specific calorie intake for every human on this planet. 6g is certainly not the limit, and the human body is a resilient thing. Chocolate won’t give you a heart attack lol.
If you’re truly concerned about your saturated fat intake, I’d suggest making an appointment with a registered dietician 🙂

  4. It looks like a treat for all coffee lovers. Easy recipe too!5 stars

  5. Thank you for this recipe. I love it.

  6. First. The sidebar on the left is annoying AF.
Second. Learn how to use a double boiler to melt your chocolate. No self respecting cook uses a microwave to cook.
Third. There’s too much nonsense to scroll through to get to the recipe. We don’t care about your family history.

    • Sheesh, I hope you didn’t go to bed with all that negativity.

First, the sidebar is how she can rack in some money by providing ADS. Don’t like it? LEAVE.

Second, she made this recipe for the common people that don’t necessarily have the skills to use a double boiler to melt their chocolate and would much rather opt for a more simple and quicker way to melt their chocolate. What are you living in, the dark ages?

Third, it is her FOOD BLOG in which she can talk about whatever she wants to talk about. Don’t care for the prologue? SCROLL TIL YOU GET TO THE RECIPE.

We don’t care about YOUR negativity. I think Jessica made a fine post.5 stars

    • Thanks for taking time out of your day to bitch 😂😂😂 feel better now? 👏

  7. The comment section is full of Karens. It’s pretty amusing.

    • I’ve had this blog since 2011, and the amount of offended comments I’ve gotten over the years? Phew… it’s even worse on my YouTube channel 😑

      • That’s crazy! I don’t understand how people can be so negative about a RECIPE, especially a recipe for something so delicious! Hell, I don’t care if you told us to melt our chocolate on our car roof, it’s a dang chocolate and coffee treat that I can actually eat while doing Keto. THANK YOU and keep up the sunshine, positivity, and good vibes.5 stars

      • Bravo Jessica! many people nowadays believe they can spew their negativity and others just have to accept it. Keep plying your love of cooking and nevermind the haters as they have nothing better to do than leave their rubbish and hate all across the planet. Love the recipe. I’ve made some modifications to it, but that is neither here or there… Keep up the good work5 stars

      • Hi Jessica!
I am actually going to just comment on the recipe! The thing we all came here for!
I am a Chocolatier, and using the double boiler method, I switched the recip up just a bit. I used GOOD dark chocolate, and real coffee beans. I put the coffee beans in the grinder for just a couple of short pulses just to break them up. Then I poured those in using the rest of your recipe. The coffee beans give an additional crunch to the crisp snap from the chocolate!
Also, Dark chocolate is an antioxidant, which is an additional benefit. Another benefit to dark chocolate is that it does lower your blood sugars. That is why you used to see good restaurants providing a small bite of after-dinner chocolate!
If you wanted another benefit, you could add shivered almonds for an additional crunch for a perfect afternoon pick-me-up and double antioxidants!
Thank you for the amazing recipe! (Maybe a few need to have this decadent treat more often!)
My theory as a Chocolatier? “Anything in moderation – including moderation”!

  8. Chaula Ajmera

Hey, do you mean stir in some instant coffee or coffee ground for making French/ Italian coffee?

  9. Your recipes are the best. Ignore the rest.5 stars

  10. I can’t have dairy. Does this recipe work if you leave out the milk chocolate and just use that amount more in the dark chocolate?
